Everyone knows and loves Dream Globes, large and small. Over the past fifty years, millions have been produced and sold all over the world. But little is known about their history. It dates back to a winter's day in 1950, when a man was driving through the snow-blanketed Odenwald Forest in his VW Beetle.
Suddenly the car slid to a halt in a snowdrift. The man gazed out into the woods and, through the car's oval rear window, spotted deer standing among the pines. Snowflakes tumbled gently down on their backs.
And because the driver of the car was none other than Mr. Koziol, this enchanted scene was captured in the world's first-ever Dream Globe.
Over the next few decades, a host of other designs were to follow. In the 1960s, Dream Globes became a favorite souvenir; almost every European sight has been immortalized behind their domed glass.
Now as then, artists and designers create the scenes inside the globes. These miniature worlds are an open invitation to pursue our personal dreams - large and small!
PLEASE NOTE: Koziol Dream Globes are not made of glass. They are made of a very durable plastic.
